TerraNova Assessments: These diagnostic standardized tests will be administered to students in grades 2-8 beginning Tuesday, October 14. Assessments such as these can serve as one tool to help educators analyze student/class achievement, identify instructional needs, analyze curriculum, assess resource needs, evaluate, and plan instructional programs. Your child requires proper sleep and nutritious foods for every day at school and especially during this time of testing.

 

Shoe Safety: Please see that your child wears shoes/sneakers that keep them safe. No “crocs” or backless shoes are permitted. Please read the Parent/Student Handbook (page 14) for proper uniform components.

 

Lunch Room Policies: NO frozen meals or cup o’noodles. Only food to be warmed up will be allowed. *We are a NUT-FREE school. Please be mindful of foods that may contain peanuts/nuts, such as honey nut cheerios and snacks packaged in “Lunchables”. We appreciate your cooperation!

Fall Fair on Saturday, October 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Norwegian Christian Home, 1250-67th Street. Norwegian food and gift items will be sold, flea market, children’s activities and raffle drawings. For more info call 718-306-5645.

 

Parking Policy: Please be considerate of our neighbors and do not park in or block their driveways.
